The World Health Organization (WHO) appeals for $1.5 billion for emergency operations in 2025, warning that conflict was not the only emergency in need of response. 'Conflicts, outbreaks, climate-related disasters and more,' WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus explains, 'are no longer isolated or occasional. They are relentless, overlapping and intensifying.'
