I WAS in Terminal 3 two days ago to go to Catanduanes, but the flight was canceled because of heavy rains in Virac. That is understood and accepted for logical reasons that weather disturbances must be paid attention to by airlines.
And how is Terminal 3? It was a dump. Crowded, with not enough seating for the thousands of passengers, a public address system from where a voice incessantly bellows out instructions, gate numbers, departures and notifications of tardy passengers amid the noise of the crowd. It was a sensory overload of noise. Meanwhile, children were sleeping on top of luggage, every seat was taken for miles around, and a general air of chaos was on show. Bulletin boards showing gates as "To be announced" meant people with no announced gate crowding in front of bulletin boards. And it took ages to get the gate number to show up. The temperature was warm to hot. Then you know you are in the Third World.
