THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday the Philippines would likely experience a storm-free weekend, though isolated and scattered downpours were expected.

Weather specialist Benison Estareja, in a 5 a.m. briefing, said a shear line, the easterlies and the northeast monsoon could affect most parts of the country within the next 24 hours.
