THE Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) is supporting several bills that would amend the Teacher Professionalization Act of 1994 to address the evolving needs of teachers and the education sector.

In a statement on Thursday, the group said that the proposed amendments under Senate bills 2830, 2840, and 2884 filed by Sens. Loren Legarda, Sherwin Gatchalian, and Bong Revilla will be crucial in improving teacher professionalization by strengthening the licensure process through practical assessments and promoting greater transparency.
