A HIGH-VALUE individual yielded P1,360,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust conducted by the Drug Enforcement Team of Siniloan Municipal Police Station (MPS) on Jan. 13 in Barangay Wawa, Siniloan, Laguna.
The suspect was identified as alias "Marvin," 41, and listed as a high-value target in the Siniloan MPS drug watch list.
The suspect was apprehended after selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu to a police officer acting as a buyer.
Recovered from the suspect's possession were sachets and two ice bags containing 200 grams of shabu worth P1,360,000.
The raiding team also seized a gray sling bag used as a container and the marked P500 bill used in the buy-bust.
Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, regional director of Police Regional Office (PRO) Calabarzon, commended the Siniloan MPS for their successful operation.
"We stand firm in ensuring a safer and drug-free Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon)," said Lucas.
Charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspect before the Laguna Prosecutor's Office in Santa Cruz, Laguna.
Batangas ops: P680K shabu seized
A 48-year-old tricycle driver was also apprehended in Barangay Alangilan, Batangas City, during an operation at around 10:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
Batangas Police Provincial Office Director Col. Jacinto Malinao Jr. identified the pusher as alias "Allan," of Barangay Gulod, Itaas, Batangas City.
The suspect yielded approximately 100 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P680,000.
The operation was conducted by joint personnel from the Batangas City Police Station and the Office of the Deputy Provincial Director for Operations-Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 4A.
"The fight against illegal drugs requires not just the efforts of law enforcement but the active participation of the entire community," said Malinao.
"We urge the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the authorities. Together, we can ensure the safety and security of our neighborhoods and continue our mission to make Batangas a drug-free province," added Malinao.
Pusher yields P4-M shabu in Naga City buy-bust
The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) reported on Wednesday the arrest of a big-time pusher and the seizure of 600 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P4.08 million.
PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon said the suspect, alias Jay, of Pamplona, Camarines Sur, was arrested in a buy-bust along Diversion Road, Barangay Concepcion Pequeña, Naga City, on Tuesday evening.
Dizon said the contraband was inside 11 plastic bags and three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets.
"The arrest marks a significant success in the intensified antidrug campaign of PRO-5, aiming to dismantle drug networks in the region and curb the proliferation of narcotics," he said.
The operation was conducted by Naga City Police Station 2 with Police Station 6, the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit and the Naga City Intelligence Unit, in close coordination with the PDEA.
"Rest assured, we will intensify our efforts to disrupt and dismantle drug syndicates in our region. We aim to educate and empower communities to resist the lure of illegal substances," he said.
Two nabbed, P3.4-M shabu seized in Lanao Sur
Anti-narcotics agents, with police support, arrested two high-value drug suspects and confiscated P3.4 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust in Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur, on Tuesday afternoon.
PDEA-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) Director Gil Cesario Castro identified the suspects as Papad and Adina, both listed as high-value targets in the province.
The suspects were arrested after handing over shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Poblacion.
They are now detained at the PDEA-BARMM jail facility and face charges for violating RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Recovered from the suspects were 500 grams of shabu, identification cards, mobile phones and a motorcycle.
"They have been under surveillance for two weeks before the buy-bust," Castro said, noting that the suspects had been peddling illegal drugs in Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte and parts of Maguindanao del Norte.
