MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s chief legal counsel warned Filipinos of a "very detrimental precedent" if the Philippines follows the implied logic of the Iglesia Ni Cristo's (INC) recent rally opposing the impeachment bid against Vice President Sara Duterte.
Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Juan Ponce Enrile said that impeachment was "just a constitutional legal process" to remove a government official from his office "if there is a ground and evidence to support it."
