DSWD readies psychosocial support to manhandled sampaguita vendor

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is prepared to give psychosocial help to a sampaguita vendor who was physically assaulted by a security guard at a mall as shown in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

DSWD Secretary Rexlon 'Rex' Gatchalian on Thursday instructed the Field Office - National Capital Region to find the family of the girl in student uniform who was peddling sampaguita in front of the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
