Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on June 15, 2025 says Vice President Sara Duterte is free to run for president in the 2028 national elections. 'I think it's too premature but it's her privilege,' Bersamin told reporters in a chance interview. The Executive secretary also denied that Malacañang was behind the removal of Rep. Zaldy Co as chairman of the House of Representatives' appropriations committee. He also said he was not informed about the dinner of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos with senators and their spouses. Video by Catherine Valente
