CEBU CITY — The cease and desist order halting all earth-moving operations in City of Naga in southern Cebu will remain in effect for an additional 30 days starting Jan. 10, 2025, to allow more time for the ongoing environmental audit and comprehensive area risk assessment, according to Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia.

The extension aims to assess the area's carrying capacity, especially concerning the operations of Apo Land and Quarry Corp. (ALQC) within their mineral production sharing agreement (MPSA) areas.
