CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Police Regional Office in Region 3 (PRO-3) has simultaneously jumpstarted its checkpoint operations in Central Luzon on Sunday to heighten security measures as the election period begins for the May 2025 polls.

PRO-3 director BGen. Jean Fajardo said 314 checkpoint areas have been identified with 2,438 police personnel deployed to enforce the gun ban ordered by the Commission on Elections.
