THE education sector remains the top priority in the Philippine government's 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA), as Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman emphasized.

"Looking at the final computation by Congress, it is clear that education remains the biggest allocation with P1.055 trillion overall budget for this sector, surpassing public works, which received P1.007 trillion," Pangandaman explained.
