THE National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac) announced the arrest of alias "Onang," a senior member of the New People's Army (NPA) and one of the region's most wanted individuals, during a recent joint operation conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in San Fernando, Masbate.
Undersecretary Ernesto Torres Jr., executive director of NTF-Elcac, said the operation marked a critical step in the ongoing efforts to combat insurgency and hold accountable those responsible for acts of violence and criminality.
