MANILA, Philippines — The convergence of hot and cold air called shear line could bring moderate to heavy rains that may cause flash floods or landslides in some areas in Luzon and Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.

Particularly affected by the shear line are areas in Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) and Quezon province, weather specialist Robert Badrina said.
