CEBU CITY — Despite the intermittent rain and an early call time, around 160,000 devotees of the Holy Child gathered and illuminated Osmeña Boulevard here during the opening activity of the 460th Fiesta Señor celebration at dawn on Thursday.
The religious event that honors and venerates Señor Santo Niño de Cebu began at 3 a.m. with the Penitential Walk with Jesus, which started at Fuente Osmeña Circle in Cebu City.
