(UPDATE) FILIPINO cue artist Carlo Biado placed 4th on a list of moneymakers among billiards players in the world, according to resource website AZBilliards.com.In 2024 alone, Biado made a total prize money of $209,275.Among the tournaments he won in the previous year were the Reyes Cup ($15,000), the Ho Chi Minh City Open ($35,000), the Raxx Mhet Vergara Pro Am ($9,000), the World 10-Ball Championships ($75,000) and the Chinese Taipei Open ($10,000), as well as a runner-up finish at the Alfa Las Vegas Open ($14,000) and third place finishes at the Maldives Open ($8,000), Lushan Open ($3,000) and the Hanoi Open Pool Championship ($9,500).Despite missing out on the top 10, with $121,250 of earnings, Johann Chua placed 11th in the money leaderboard.Credited to him were wins in the Reyes Cup with Biado ($15,000), the Hanoi Open Pool Championship ($30,000), a runner-up finish at the European Open ($15,000) and two 3rd-place finishes at the Knight Shot 9-Ball Open ($4,000) and the World Pool Championship ($50,000).The United States' Fedor Gorst topped the 2024 list with $510,163 in earnings, followed by Germany's Joshua Filler ($316,488) and American Shane van Boening ($228,388). After Biado was Albania's Eklent Kaci ($184,757).Completing the top 10 are Spain's Francisco Sanchez Ruiz ($161,763), Denmark's Mickey Krause ($150,828), Poland's Daniel Maciol ($142,172), Russia's Kristina Tkach ($137,113, best women's player) and Great Britain's (Scotland) Jayson Shaw ($124,976). Chua made $3,700 shy of Shaw.
