THE Department of Tourism (DOT) on Wednesday said that more tourists visited the Philippines between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.

According to the agency's tourist arrival data, 5,949,350 foreign visitors arrived in the country by the end of 2024: 91.42 percent are foreigners, accounting for 5,438,967, while the remaining 8.58 percent, or 510,383, are Filipinos residing abroad.
