A PERSON planning on seeking the highest office of the land would have a blueprint of how he intends to win the position and serve the office. One does not blur his way around, thinking one thing but doing another.
Looks like Dec. 30 will be remembered as a day of ignominy for the Filipinos. Sad to say, Junior had to ride the tide of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. First was the use of the line veto, which actually vetoed his own national expenditure program, or NEP, when you looked at Annex B of unprogrammed appropriations (UA), the fiscal year 2025 General Appropriation Act (GAA). The annex tells you Junior is just glossing over the budget of the nation. He vetoed P168,240,648 of unprogrammed appropriations. That amount covers both social safety nets (seven programs) and infrastructure programs (pre-feasibility studies/preliminary and detailed engineering; payment of right-of-way; public-private partnerships; routine maintenance of national roads and infra flagship projects).
