THE Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) designated 36 new wildlife enforcement officers (WEOs) during its 317th regular meeting.
WEOs are authorized by the PCSD to apprehend those who violate Republic Act (RA) 9147 or the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act. They may also confiscate illegally traded wildlife, monitor wildlife-related activities, and perform warrantless arrests.
