CEBU CITY — Former Mandaue City mayor Jonas Cortes has personally brought his case to the Supreme Court in a last-ditch attempt to keep his mayoral bid alive.
Cortes filed a petition for certiorari on Thursday, Jan. 2, hoping the high court will overturn the Commission on Election's cancellation of his certificate of candidacy (COC).
