BACOLOD CITY — Cases of respiratory illnesses are on the rise at the evacuation centers for residents living inside the 6-kilometer radius expanded danger zone.

The Department of Health-Negros Island Region (DOH-NIR) has recorded 79 cases of respiratory diseases from the 34 evacuation centers that temporarily house 13,915 persons or 4,324 families.
