AS the clock resets for 2025, our nation stands at a pivotal crossroads. Will we rise to greatness, falter under division or remain the same in this new era? Reflecting on the lessons of 2024, I'm drawn to the wisdom of my grandmother, Dr. Mercedes "Mommy Ched" Cuello Lazaro Musngi, a World War (WW) II guerrilla combat medic and patriot, and the stories of our unsung WW II veteran heroes whose legacies continue to guide my research to empower youths through unity, resilience and preparedness.
