A RANKING official of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac) said the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and its armed wing, the New People's Army (NPA), will soon be an insignificant threat, as the country ushered in the New Year.

"Despite the CPP's denials, the NTF-ELCAC's achievements speak volumes.
