COMPANIES engaged in information technology-business process management (IT-BPM) in the country declined by 7.3 percent, while employment in the sector gained 0.7-percent, according to a 2022 study released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
Conducted in April 2023, the 2022 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) showed the number of IT-BPM businesses dropped to 2,045 that year from 2,205 in 2021.
