AFTER its preview last year at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, Honda officially revealed recently that the Prelude is making a comeback. The 2026 Honda Prelude retains much of the design from the concept car that debuted at the show, but now, more technical details have also emerged.
The main highlight of the Prelude's announcement is its new S+ Shift system — a feature that will also serve as the centerpiece of Honda's next-generation e:HEV hybrid drivetrain. In fact, Honda is using the Prelude to introduce the successor to its current e:HEV system.
