WHEN I closed the page on the column on the riddle of time (TMT, Dec. 21, 2024), I felt that the subject would return for discussion in my thrice-weekly page, because I left out from publication many other material, threads and research that were eminently worthy of discussion. I soon heard from readers questions and comments on why I did not include other traditions and authors in the discussion of the riddle of time. Why for example was there no mention at all of Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time," which established black holes in our knowledge of the universe? The column was unavoidably selective and personal.
