(UPDATE) THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) said it has voided the reelection bid of former Albay governor Noel Rosal in the May 2025 midterm polls.
The 17-page resolution promulgated by the Comelec's Second Division on Friday, Dec. 27, cited Rosal's dismissal by the Office of the Ombudsman in Dec. 2022 for violations of the Local Government Code as cause of disqualification.
