Proposed oil facility in Talisay City opposed

CEBU CITY — Residents who are relying mainly on fishing and fish vending, as well as drivers and youth advocates, gathered in front of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Central Visayas (DENR-7) office on Monday, Dec. 23, protesting the proposed Seaoil Terminal Facility and Jetty Port Project in Barangay Tangke, Talisay City.

The protesters carried signs with slogans like 'Save Our Seas,' 'Protect Our Fishing Grounds,' and 'Save Our Seas, Save Our Future,' as they called the attention of the authorities on the possible threats of the project on the sea.
