BACOLOD CITY — Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson expressed concern over the continuous rains in the province that might result in lahar overflow toward residential areas.
Lacson said that based on discussions with the Office of Civil Defense and the Task Force Kanlaon on Monday, Dec. 23, the Kanlaon volcano has an estimated 3 million cubic meters of lahar deposits.
