(UPDATE) ILOILO International Airport has resumed normal operations following the closure of its runway for urgent safety repairs, according to an announcement from the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
The runway was closed from 7:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Dec. 22 after two potholes were discovered on Runway 2, necessitating immediate action to ensure the safety of passengers, flight crews and aircraft.
