THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has allocated some P483.8 million to various programs and services for the benefit of qualified beneficiaries in Mindanao, which included former combatants, in support of its commitment to the region's goal of lasting peace and development.
Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma said on Tuesday, Dec. 24, that the amount has benefited more than 84,000 individuals in the region through the department's Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) program, the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), and the DOLE's Government Internship Program (GIP).
