ONE of the timeless messages of Christmas is that this holiday should bring "peace on Earth, and goodwill toward Men." As we reflect on the year that has passed, and look ahead to the new year that is now just one week away, it seems to us that, more than ever, peace and goodwill should not be mere seasonal sentiments but watchwords for the entire year. We will need all the peace and goodwill we can collectively muster to face the challenges ahead.
