THE International Air Transport Association (IATA) forecasts an 11.8 percent year-on-year (YoY) surge in air cargo traffic for 2024, driven by robust demand from cross-border e-commerce and ongoing disruptions in ocean shipping.
IATA said these factors were poised to propel the airline industry to achieve record cargo tonne-kilometers (CTK) after two years of declining growth.
