COMMISSION on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Erwin Garcia on Monday confirmed that the failed assassination of Sulu provincial election officer Vidzfar Julie Amil was election-related.

"The target was really our provincial election officer in Sulu. He himself pinpointed that matter," said Garcia.
