MANILA, Philippines — Private sector workers on duty on Tuesday, a special (non-working) day, and on Wednesday (Dec. 25), a regular holiday, are entitled to receive additional pay for the two days.
In an advisory, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said the "no work, no pay" principle will apply on Dec. 25, unless there is a favorable company policy, practice, or collective bargaining agreement (СВА) granting payment on a special day.
