ISUZU Philippines Corp. (IPC), in partnership with its authorized dealership Isuzu Manila, has delivered 10 more new modern public utility vehicle (PUV) units to the Lungsod Silangan Transport Service and Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LSTSMPC) operating from Antipolo, Rizal.

The new units boost the cooperative's fleet serving the Cogeo-to-Cubao route, reflecting its ongoing commitment to provide modern, comfortable and reliable transportation.

With the latest addition, LSTSMPC now operates a total of 111 modern PUVs — further solidifying its status as one of the largest transport operators in Antipolo. Each Isuzu NLR77 PUV is powered by a 4JH1-TC Blue Power Diesel engine, producing 106 PS and 230 Newton-meters of torque, ensuring the vehicles can handle heavy loads and multiple passengers efficiently and economically.

Together, these elements provide passengers with an improved, convenient and seamless travel experience.

Aside from cutting-edge technology and modern amenities, the cooperative also cited Isuzu's strong after-sales support and easy availability of spare parts as key reasons for the fleet expansion. "We trust Isuzu because of its strong aftersales support. Parts availability is critical to our operations, and with Isuzu, we can be assured of minimal downtime. Their reasonable service costs and extensive service packages reinforce our confidence in choosing them," said Arcadio Inso, LSTSMPC general manager.

Financing for the new PUVs was facilitated by Rizal Commercial Banking Corp., reflecting a trend among transport cooperatives to seek financing solutions from commercial banks amid challenges in securing government-backed loans.

"We are proud to be part of LSTSMPC's journey toward modernizing public transport. As always, our focus remains on delivering the best after-sales service to ensure our customers' operations remain smooth and reliable," said Art Silvestre, Isuzu Manila branch head.
