Tara dito! Dala ka foods!

GRAMMARAMA!

THE word 'foods' had its fair share of the limelight 10 years ago when a famous noontime show host got entangled in a case that also ran for a decade. No surprises there, yeah? The use of the word 'foods' in the SMS exchanges between the case's main characters added more buzz to the already controversial issue, sparking debate among Filipinos about its validity. Well, once and for all, 'foods' is not wrong per se. It's just that its use is limited to describing specific types or kinds of food, say: 'The restaurant offered a variety of foods from different parts of the world.' So, I would recommend sticking to 'food' in all scenarios because to say 'food' is always correct. Speaking of food, we visited our favorite weekend market last Saturday, The Salcedo Weekend Market at Salcedo Village in Makati City, and I thought of sharing the experience in case you were looking for something worthwhile to do during your downtime. My partner and I have built this habit of trying out at least one new dish every time we went, on top of our staples (special mention to the Kapampangan store that offered an authentic tasting of kilayin dish), and we would always get a kick out of it because the food was always great! That said, you should go out and try it too and thank me later! And nope, this is not a sponsored post!
