THE National Press Club (NPC) has expressed support for moves in Congress seeking the exclusion of the members of the media as witnesses in drug-related cases.
NPC President Leonel Abasola said on Sunday that it is time that Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, specifically Section 2, be amended considering the dangers to the lives of media practitioners and the hassle of attending hearings.
