THE Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) recognized five higher education institutions (HEIs) – three in the secondary level and two in the elementary level, as top performing schools in the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) as released on Dec. 13, 2024.

For the secondary level, Cebu Normal University (CNU) topped the schools with 300 or more examinees with 797 passers out of 845 takers or 94.32 percent passing rate; Philippine Normal University Manila (PNU-Manila) topped those with 100 to 299 examinees with 97.75 percent; and Bohol Wisdom College (BWC) for schools with 50 to 99 examinees or 98.31 passing percentage or 58 passers out of out 59 takers.

For the elementary level, the West Visayas State University (WVSU) topped the schools with 100 or more examinees at 96.40 percent passing rate.

PRC and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announced that 20,025 elementary teachers out of 44,002 examinees or a 45.51 percent passing rate and 48,875 secondary teachers out of 85,926 examinees 56.88 percent successfully passed the teacher board exams given on Sept. 29, 2024 in 40 testing centers all over the Philippines and Thailand.

It also announced that of the 20,025 elementary teacher passers, 16,340 are first-timers and 3,685 are repeaters. For the secondary level, 41,190 passers are first-timers and 7,685 are repeaters.

The successful examinees who garnered the top five highest places in the secondary level were 1. Lara Tero of CNU with 94.69 percent; 2. Jarod Landrix Peñaflor of University of the Philippines Diliman (UP-Diliman), 94.40 percent; 3. Diofel Malmis of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), Reynan Manaig of Cavite State University (CvSU), Alden Lloyd Moskito of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) and Ma. Romilyn Patindol of CNU, 94.20 percent; 4. Jayson Buagayan of Eastern Visayas State Universiy (EVSU), Laiza Mae Fraquiles of Central Mindanao University, Ichie Golosino of PNU, Eisle Marc Improgo of MSU General Santos City, Nes Ainee Luczon of University of Mindanao (UM), Jomanichael Lee Padilla of Leyte Normal University (LNU), 93.80 percent; and 5. Kristian Colminar of LNU, Renz Gabriel Hilvano of EVSU, Jerry Mae Ranes of Pamatasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), and Sachiko Valera of UM with 93.60 percent.

The successful examinees who garnered the top five highest places in the elementary level were 1. Belle Abenido of Holy Child Central Colleges (HCCC), Nomel Alyassa Andan of CNU, Trecia Andujare of Kolehiyo ng Subic (KS), Belle Chardin Bacea of MSU General Santos City, Mary Fullo of CNU, and Alyssa Jeanne Tomondong of UP Diliman with 94 percent; 2. Primo Jose Magno of UST, Kyle Stephany Pasay of University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP-Davao City), Nicole Lindsay Ramos of PNU Manila, Nikka Grace Verano of Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU), and Leanne Celest Villanueva of LNU, 93.80 percent; 3. Niño Danico Caberte of LNU, Keith Cullo of CNU, and Athena Leng Ibañez of UST, 93.60 percent; 4. Nova Lyzza Ejorcadas of Biliran Province State University (BPSU), Justine Marie Estrada of UST, Jomari Mae Herrera of Negros Oriental State University (NOSU), and Hadjimar Lubrico of Philippine College Foundation (PCF), 93.40 percent; and 5. Ana Mae Odolfo of CNU, Mesley Sheene Jopson of MSU General Santos City, Jessica Legaspi of Benguet State Universiy (BSU), Jesryll Tonette Logarta of CNU and Roa Kyla Sansa of Mandaue City College (MCC) with 93.20 percent.

All successful examinees interested in attending the face-to-face mass oath-taking shall register not later than noon of the day before the date of the oath-taking at http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm their attendance.
