THERE are plans to open 30 new ecozones in 2025, mostly in the Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon (Calabarzon) region, as well as in the Visayas and Mindanao, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Tereso Panga said.
"We had a lengthy discussion with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Cristina Roque regarding ecozone development, and we are very supportive [of] how we can integrate more small [and] medium enterprises into them while creating more sites in the countryside," Panga said in a statement.
