LET's talk about Friends. Not friends, friends, but 'Friends,' the series. Notice the capitalized F? We capitalize the first letters of proper nouns, lest you forget. If you've been following me for a while, you'd probably know that I was the youngest of four siblings who all came ahead of me in terms of years. For the sake of those who missed it, all three of my siblings were born two years apart while I came six years after the one whom I followed which also means — if your math is serving you well — that my eldest sibling and I are 10 years apart. And because I had much older siblings growing up, I pride myself on saying that I am an OG Friends fan. I had been watching it — because my siblings were and the series was more for their age group than mine at that time — since the late 90s on ABC 5 way before it had a resurgence on Netflix quite recently. My favorite Friend was Chandler because I thought he dressed so cool and had a weird sense of humor which I realized was a good combo. But the Friend who made me laugh the most, I would almost cry, was Phoebe. There was a scene where she thought she had developed telekinetic powers because the TV in Joey and Chandler's apartment turned on and off simultaneously with her blinking not knowing it was Monica in the other apartment who was making it happen through a light switch they had trouble figuring out what was for. 'See! I'm doing it! I'm totally doing it!' Phoebe sat in a brown leather recliner while blinking forcefully, like she had sand in her eyes, and Joey sat beside her, watching in astonishment. It's funnier when you watch the scene itself, I promise! Things are funnier when you see them, compared to when you just read them, isn't this true?
