VALENZUELA City won the top award of the Gawad Liyab for Outstanding Local Government Unit (LGU)-Highly Urbanized/Independent Component City Category at the 2024 National Literacy Awards (NLA), the Department of Education (DepEd) has declared.
DepEd recognized the city government under the stewardship of Mayor Weslie Gatchalian for "its exceptional delivery of quality and inclusive education to promote literacy through its award-winning Education 360 Degrees Investment Program."
