AS weather disturbance "Querubin" weakened into a low pressure area, the National Disaster, Risk, Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) asked the public to prepare for a wet Christmas and New Year due to the likelihood of heavy rains.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said Querubin, along with the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and the shear line, is expected to bring significant rain in Visayas and Mindanao, while the Northeast Monsoon will affect various regions in Luzon.
