THE peso again hit a record low of P59 to the dollar on Tuesday and the stock market also fell to its lowest in over five months as sentiment worsened due to prospects of fewer interest rate cuts next year.
The currency, which weakened by a centavo from the previous day, opened at the day's high of P59:$1 and traded as low as P59.98. Volume rose to P1.099 billion from P884 million on Wednesday.
