KHALID Hassan, the International Labor Organization's (ILO's) country director for the Philippines, gave some quick snapshots of the changing policy interventions during the recent Arangkada forum of the Joint Foreign Chambers in the Philippines.

Before focusing on policy interventions, Mr. Hassan discussed at length the changing labor market, what to measure aside from unemployment rates to get the real picture of today's labor market, and the impact of megatrends and geopolitical, technological, and demographic changes on jobs around the world, including in the Philippines.
