LGUs play critical role in achieving cervical cancer elimination goals

AS the Philippines intensifies efforts to eliminate cervical cancer, local government units (LGUs) play a key role in delivering HPV vaccination, screening, and treatment programs to communities. Cervical cancer, caused largely by the human papillomavirus (HPV), remains the second most common cancer among Filipino women, claiming 12 lives daily.
