Experiencing US' psychological imbalance in the Rust Belt

AS Chinese people deepen their understanding of the United States' internal diversity and complexity, awareness of the Rust Belt has also grown. I live and teach in the Rust Belt, giving me some insight into the region's local customs, social psyche and cultural climate. Understanding the American interior, rather than focusing solely on the major cities on its coasts, is crucial to gaining a deeper understanding of the US.
