MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) lifted Storm Signal No. 1 over Davao Oriental but raised it over Surigao del Sur as Tropical Depression "Querubin" maintained its strength on Wednesday.

Estimated some 195 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, the tropical cyclone is moving north-northeastward at 10 kilometers per hour (kph).
