ONE week to go, and Christmas is upon us.

For sure, we have bought some or most of the items on our Christmas gifts list, planned our Noche Buena, and thought up fun and games for both children and adults to make the day memorable. On Christmas Eve or Christmas Day itself, we shall hear Mass, go home for a repast with family, and relish our favorite holiday dishes — ham and queso de bola, morcon, and fruit salad. The rest of the day might be spent unwrapping gifts sharing stories and memories for hours, until later when we call it a day, tired, but grateful.
