Sara Duterte's impeachment can still proceed despite 2025 elections

WE hear many people, including members of Congress, express their apprehension that there might not be enough time to act on the impeachment complaints filed against Vice President Sara Duterte. The reason they usually provide is the looming 2025 national and local midterm elections.

I am not a lawyer but a mere student of politics who happens to teach the Constitution and who simply uses logic. And I am boldly stating that such fear is unwarranted.
