VOTERS make choices. Some process and come up with informed choices. We bear the brunt of the choices we make, and most often, after a considerable time, we realize that we erred in making those choices, and we seek to rectify our error. We are in the most opportune time to make the rectification of those choices in May 2025. But we wonder why, all of a sudden, the pre-campaign is eerily quiet. Could it be that Miru machines have already chosen the winners for the Senate? Or are candidates reportedly just preparing for one day, E-day, because they would have to out-price the ongoing distribution of ayuda, which the Comelec allowed to be distributed since it is a government program?

May 12, 2025, will be the day when vote buying will have reached staggering levels with the changing ayuda amounts. It will break the historic levels of 2022 to somewhere in the shocking range of P15,000 to P25,000. But only those with the money or are supported by this administration will have the wherewithal to pollute democracy's promise of "we, the people."
